Save Money from your house hold waste using Vivesty Green’s Eco-friendly, Modular, Compact and Cheaper Bio-Gas Plants in India

Waste is a material that no longer serves a purpose and so is thrown away. In some cases what one person discards may be re-used by somebody else. All wasters are particularly hazardous: If not carefully disposed of, it will have an impact on the environment, whether it be unsightly litter in urban streets or contaminated air, soil or water.

In India we produce 300 to 400 gms. of solid waste per person per day in town of normal size. The figure is 500 to 800 gms. per capita per day in cities like Delhi and Mumbai, says harenvironment. The problem in these cities is how to dispose such large mass of solid waste daily and this poses a massive and expensive problem to the authorities.

In India, Bo-gas is produced by using goober (cow-dung), so it is known as Goober-gas. Now a day usage of bio-gas is important because it is a renewable energy source, reduce global warming, flexible and efficient use, destruction of food waste avail for farmers and its waste management.

The energy problems in the rural areas could solve by the use of Bio-gas which is adamant there. By using the Bio-gas plant we can save fossil, forest, cooking time, money and we can also reduce air pollution and water pollution. It will improve the lifestyle of rural people.

Bio-gas is a gas produced by the decomposition of organic materials such as municipal waste, sewage, plant materials, food waste, green waste, crop etc., in the absence of oxygen. Bio-gas is the combination of so many gaseous particles. They are 65 percent Methane, 30 percent Carbon-Di-Oxide, 4 percent Hydrogen, and 1 percent sulfur-dioxide. The different uses of gas are consumption for cooking, for gas lamp, for working on engines, (Examples: motor, vehicle fuel etc.).

One of the Bio-gas plant manufacturers in India, Vivesty Green – It’s a complete environmental solution company which designs, manufactures, supplies and installs the renewable energy systems. It specializes in portable plug n play type anaerobic digester systems for bio-gas production from organic solid wastes and thus brings the most tried and tested waste to energy technology to India.

Their technology extracts methane from organic waste such as diary manure, municipal waste, domestic waste and more. Vivesty is also engaged in the research activities of waste water purification, EIA, green farming and land greening.

India has been pioneering country in developing simple and easy to operate biogas plants. India has second largest biogas programme in the world at rural and as well as urban levels. To make you more clear about bio-gas potential, the following table gives the bio-gas production potential from different wastes.

How does Domestic Bio-gas plant work?

The food wastes are collected in a digester tank placed in the ground through the inlet pipe from the kitchen. Gas produced from the decayed waste is stored in a gas tank holder. A byproduct of the waste is deposited in another tank placed nearby it for further purposes. The produced Biogas in the gas holder tank is connected in the kitchen to utilize it.

Generation of cooking gas at house hold level helps to overcome fuel crisis to a great extent. The space required for a domestic plant (1 Cum) is one square meter. Time required for the installation is 1- 4 hours, depending upon the model of the plant. The gas generated from the waste of a family of 3 -5 members is sufficient enough to work a single burner stove for more than 2 hrs. every day.

Some of the benefits of Domestic Bio-gas plant

By using the bio manure for agriculture the use of chemical fertilizers can be reduced and the expenses for the manure can be saved. Quality vegetables and grains can be produced by the application of bio manure.

The Vivesty’s bio-plants are equipped with gas purifiers (CO2, H2S and H2O removers) which will convert the raw biogas to bio CNG!

The wastes thrown out in houses and the premises including the droppings of birds and dung of animals could be treated in a scientific manner and the houses and the surroundings are kept clean and tidy thereby the health and hygienic life of people could be maintained.

The return on investment of a domestic bio waste treatment – bio energy plant is also very good. A 1 m3 plant is sufficient to save the 70% - 90% consumption of fire wood or other cooking fuels every day. Within 2 years the entire investment will be got back as cooking gas and liquid fertilizer. The benefit from the methane emission reduction is another added advantage.

How to select a bio-gas plant for your home?

Before you go for a bio-gas plant you must calculate how much bio-waste is available in your home bio-waste in the sense, rice juice, Vegetable waste, Food waste, fish waste, Chicken waste etc. 0.5 m3 Bio-gas plant will be sufficient for a family of 2 to 3 members. If your family is having 4+ members 1 m3 bio-gas plant will be sufficient for you.

There is need to develop a sustainable renewable energy programme on bio-gas for replacing petroleum products by utilization of bio-gas in India. This will help in green energy technology and reducing green house gases emissions.
